THE BURBAGE Beat Team are appealing for information from anyone with details after a BMW vehicle was broken into by criminals six days ago.

Last Monday (21 February), between 1.30am and 4.30am, on Cowper Road near the junction with Lucas Road, a steering wheel and centre console were stolen from a BMW xDrive car.
Officers have stated that they are unsure on how the criminals broke into the car.
In a statement, a Beat Team spokesperson, explained: “This is a very targeted attack and it is unknown how the criminals gained access to the vehicle.”
They have described this type of incident as ‘rare’, and have since encouraged other residents in the area to park their vehicles inside of their garages, if they have one.
Outdoor lighting has further been recommended as a deterrent to stop criminals.
Now, the officers are appealing for any information relating to the incident.
Those with details can call the police on their non-emergency number of 101, quoting crime number 22000104040.
Alternatively, those looking to report details another way are able to do so online through a portal on the official Leicestershire Police website.
