The suggestion was made in a post for the official online Parish Council newsletter yesterday (Tuesday, 15 February).

But, the dates for the potentially-planned sporting activity clubs are yet to be confirmed.

The newly-thought up clubs could run from 9.30am through to 3.30pm – and parents and carers could choose the days that their children would attend the sports sessions.

A spokesperson for Burbage Parish Council, encouraged villagers and visitors to forward the message on to those with children.

The statement simply explains: “Children would play a variety of sports and have fun with friends.

“If you think that you would like your child/children to attend, please comment and tell us how many days you would be interested in, and how many children you would be looking to enrol.

“We are looking to establish whether there is a demand for such a scheme. Please feel free to share with friends”, the statement concluded.

Villagers and visitors are being encouraged to contact the Parish Council and submit their thoughts and suggestions regarding the clubs.
