A former Hinckley dessert parlour has had a ‘to let’ sign quietly placed atop of it.
The town’s former Delightful Desserts, based on Waterloo Road, traded for the final time before Christmas, where they served up their last desserts to hungry residents.
They shut down after Christmas – and this was noticed by food delivery app users in the local area who were unable to get their fix of sweet treats from the dessert chain.
The closure was subsequently confirmed by the former owners who revealed to the Free Press that they had no plans to open any new ventures in town in the future.
Since the closure was confirmed, the interior of the unit has been mostly emptied out and only a few remnants are left inside – the main desk, some booths and high chairs.
The former storefront fascia remains and has not yet been removed.
Station Road-based letting agents and chartered surveyors, Wards, are now marketing the property as a ground floor commercial unit.
Wards have stated that the space is suitable for future occupants to use it for any of the following uses:
- A1 (shops and retail)
- A5 (hot food takeaway)
- D2 (assembly and leisure)
It is located in between the Bar Eivissa nightclub and the SHAPEU personal training facility, in close proximity to Iceland foods, and the town centre bus station.
