A MAN was assaulted in an attempted car-jacking in Bermuda Park this evening.

The attempted theft of the car took place at 6.39pm, on St. David’s Way.
The suspect assaulted the victim in order to try and make off inside of his car.
According to Nuneaton and Bedworth Police, the suspect had presented a fake police badge in the ordeal.
It was found out to be fake by officers, as he had dropped it whilst running away in the direction of the Odeon Luxe cinema, based on Bermuda Park.
The suspect is bald, believed to be around 40 to 50 years old, and was wearing a black jacket and a black face covering.
No details on if any injuries were sustained have been made public knowledge at the time of publication (Sunday, 23 January).
