The nightclub would simply be named ‘Trilogy’, which is a late-night club chain.

Its owners, Epic Bars, have applied for the licence to sell alcohol from the space which was once home to the Velvet nightclub, directly next door to Fever and the Silk Mill.

If approved, indoor sporting events and music would be able to played – and dance performances and performances of a similar nature could be held on the premises.

The Hinckley Free Press had discovered today (Saturday, 22 January), that the premises licence had been placed on the front doors of the former nightclub.

It shows that Epic Bars want the proposed branch to open from 11am to 4.30am, seven days a week.

Alcohol would be served on and off the premises during these same hours.

Late night refreshments would be served up from 11pm to 4.30am.

This would mark Nuneaton’s newest and most recent nightclub to open their doors.

The unit has sat empty for many years – but it previously sported many identities in past times, such as ‘Punch and Judy’, ‘Chicco’s Wine Bar’, and most recently, ‘Velvet’.

Elsewhere in the town, over in Abbey Green, the former Town Talk pub is set to re-open as ‘The New Town Talk’, as an Indian restaurant and bar.
