NUNEATON COPS have issued an appeal for information, following an assault which took place outside of Nuneaton’s Wilko branch in the early hours of New Year’s Day.

Around 3.30am on New Year’s Day, a man – in his 20’s – was attacked with a baseball bat outside the Church Street-based store by three men who had approached him, after they got out of a taxi.
The man sustained head injuries as a result, and was subsequently taken to hospital.
His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening at this time.
The three attackers then fled from the scene of the incident in an ‘unknown direction’, according to a spokesperson for Warwickshire Police.
Enquiries are currently ongoing into the incident.
Officers are keen to speak to anybody who has any information, or those who may have been in the area at the time of the incident.
They have also urged anybody with any mobile phone footage to supply it to them.
