SWIMMERS in Hinckley were left baffled this morning as they could not go for their morning swim.

Upon arriving at the Hinckley Leisure Centre, based inside of the Argents Mead park this morning (Sunday, 9 January), a queue of users had been informed that the pool was not yet open.
A Leisure Centre spokesperson had informed a reader of the Free Press that the pool had closed, because an employee had allegedly “forgotten to put the chemicals into the water”.
A Hinckley and Bosworth Borough Council (HBBC) spokesperson stressed on social media sharing site, Twitter, that the decision to close the pool was made by the Places Leisure Group, not the Council themselves.
The regular pool users chose to leave, as it was not known when it would re-open, and they could not access the facilities.
A statement is yet to be issued to the Free Press by Places, as no further details have been released at the time of publication.
