A ROAD in Burbage is to temporarily close for the day on Monday.

The Highways Team for Leicestershire County Council have agreed to close Smithy Lane on Monday, 10 January, so that carriageway patching works can be carried out.
Online traffic map, One Network, shows that it will be closed from the bottom of Sapcote Road near the B4669, leading straight into Burbage Common and Woods.
The traffic map shows that no proposed alternative routes have been put in place at the time of publication (Saturday, 8 January).
A Temporary Traffic Regulation Order (TTRO) will be in place for public safety.
It will allow the County Council to work on the carriageway patching works, and any other associated highway works.
Leicestershire County Council have apologised for any inconvenience which will be caused as a result of the works on the day.
