A FOOTPATH in Burbage is set to temporarily close this Wednesday (5 January).

Leicestershire County Council’s Highways Team have agreed to close Footpath U57 in Burbage – between Grange Drive and Sketchley Road, from 9am to 2.30pm.
As well as this, temporary parking restrictions are being put in place on Sketchley Road between the footpath and Azalea Drive, on both sides of the carriageway, for the same amount of time the temporary closure is in place.
The Temporary Traffic Regular Order is being put in place as a public safety measure so that footpath patching and other associated highway works can be carried out by Leicestershire County Council.
The proposed alternative diversion route for the closed footpath will be via Sketchley Road, Pyeharps Road, and Grange Drive, according to detailed plans which have been lodged on online traffic map one.network – reference GQ333575698-01.
The County Council have issued an apology for any inconvenience which may be caused as a result of the temporary works.
