Body discovered this morning in canal near Tuttle Hill in Nuneaton

A MAN’S body was sadly found in a canal in Nuneaton early this morning (Sunday, 2 December).

A member of the public had discovered the body at 8.34am at a canal near Tuttle Hill – and then they raised the alarm with local police officers.

Emergency service crews then arrived and removed the body from the canal, after being alerted to the death.

“The death is not being treated as suspicious at this time and a file will be passed to the coroner”, explained a Warwickshire Police spokesperson on social media.

Formal identification is still yet to take place, but the officers have informed who they believe to be the individual’s next of kin.
