TWO WALK IN coronavirus vaccination sessions are to take place at Hinckley’s town vaccination hub in two days time (28 December).
The sessions will be held at Hinckley Leisure Centre, which is housed inside of the award-winning Argents Mead park, next to Station Road.
Doses of the Pfizer vaccine will be handed out in both sessions.
Unvaccinated people aged 16 and over in need of their first dose will be able to get their first vaccine.
Those aged 18 and over, who have been vaccinated with their first dose of the Pfizer vaccine already, can receive their second dose if they have waited eight weeks.
People in need of their booster will be eligible to get it – but only if they are 18 and over – and have waited at least three months since their second vaccination.
The first session will start at 10am and finish at 12.15pm.
The second session will be held from 2pm to 3.45pm.
Hinckley and Bosworth Borough Council (HBBC) have taken to social media to ask those who are planning to show up to have their NHS numbers handy, if they can.
Since it started being partly used as a vaccination hub eleven months ago, back in January, over 50,000 people have been vaccinated inside of the Leisure Centre.
