As the Free Press first reported back in September, it was revealed on social media that a new independently-owned fried chicken eatery, named Peri Peri Bros, were coming to town, located on Queens Road, in a former hair and beauty salon.

A month later, in October, a spokesperson for the group later said they were aiming to open their doors to customers in December, but they did not state a specific date.

But, since then, a statement has since been quietly posted on their Instagram Story, explaining that the initially-planned opening date had been moved to early next year.

It read: “Unfortunately, our opening has been delayed until January 2022.

“Please bare (sic) with us while we aim for completion.

“Apologies in advance for extra wait (sic).”

At the time of publication (Friday, 24 December), what we do know is that they will offer freshly prepared Halal certified chicken (حلال) and curb-side collection.
