At the start of the month (Thursday, 9 December), a new Instagram account was quietly launched, revealing that the Town Talk pub, is set to re-open under the new name of ‘The New Town Talk’ – and it will re-open as a brand new Indian bar and grill.

It can be found on the platform under the handle @thenewtowntalk, and has a total of 303 followers at the time of publication (Sunday, 12 December).

Whilst a specific opening date has not yet been revealed, the Free Press can exclusively reveal that an ‘Instagram Story’ was posted on their account today, confirming that the owners plan to open the new bar and grill in ‘early 2022’.

Their account further reveals that they will show live sports from Sky Sports and BT Sports, serve up a ‘great selection’ of drinks, as well as authentic curries and grills.

It is seemingly owned by Manish Leel and Satinder Leel, two company directors who registered “The New Town Talk” as a limited company back on 3 December with the nature of business as a ‘licensed restaurant’.

Back in mid-June, Hereford-based property developers, Sidney Phillips, made it known through Facebook that the boozer had been quietly snapped up for a whopping grand total of £360,000 on a ‘freehold’ basis.
