MEXICAN RESTAURANT chain Benito’s have announced that they are ‘delighted’ to have secured a brand new 2,000 square foot location in Hinckley.

The new restaurant will seat 50 people in total and is located in part of the former Voodoo Lounge and Quartz nightclub building located on Regent Street.

It will be located next door to newly-opened tanning salon, Forever Sun.

Benito’s bosses have confirmed that they plan to open the location in February 2022.

Managing Director, Michael Pearson, states it is “what Benito’s hope to be the first of a number of openings across the Midlands.”

He added that the brand are ‘incredibly excited’ about opening the new restaurant -and it will be the first location to open since securing the Benito’s business last year.

Michael further revealed the reasoning for Hinckley being their newest location, outside of their current and existing ones inside of London and Oxford.

He said: “We’ve chosen Hinckley because it’s a fabulous, bustling market town that has always been a popular destination for eating, drinking and entertainment in the wider area.

“We are pleased to have found what we believe to be the perfect location for our Mexican bar and restaurant and are looking forward to joining the Hinckley community.”

It will be led by former Loungers Group member, Molly Pinson, who is a Hinckley resident herself, and has joined the Benito’s family following on from her last role at Treetop Adventure Golf, in Leicester.

18 new jobs will be created as a result of the new branch of Benito’s coming to town.

A full ‘dine-in’ menu will be on offer, serving hungry patrons from 11am until 11pm, which will trade from 10am on the weekends – with breakfast and ‘bottomless’ brunches being served up.

Takeaway and delivery will also be available throughout the week.

Those in the Hinckley area have known about the Benito’s name since mid-October this year, when the Free Press spotted an alcohol licence in the window, though at the time, the Free Press could not be told any more by the chain.

Forever Sun and Benito’s have both publicly made their presence known inside two of the three units inside the former Quartz building.

One vacant unit remains, with the occupant yet to be revealed, but, it is now “under offer” – meaning a deal is being negotiated, but contracts are yet to be exchanged.

The Free Press have spotted contractors inside over the past few weeks and have approached Wards – the letting agents who are marketing the unit for comment, but they were unable to provide any further details on the interested occupant.
