The Rose Inn has been closed to regular revellers and pub-goers since they served last orders at the boozer on 20 November – one week and four days’ ago.

But, the Free Press have learnt that the reasoning behind the closure is because they are currently refurbishing and transforming the pub to have a “new look”.

Since 30 November, pub staff have been using the venue’s Facebook page to post a countdown of the amount of days that are left until it re-opens.

The venue will officially re-open to regulars in two days’ time on 3 December.

On the re-opening night, customers will be treated a live musical performance starting from 9pm from local rock cover band, Finch.
