The crew could not collect the garden waste bins which were left out in Little Twycross, Bilstone, Congerstone, Shackerstone, Barton in the Beans, and Odstone.

A spokesperson for Hinckley and Bosworth Borough Council explained that the crews were unable to collect in these areas due to the current road conditions.

And, the waste inside had ‘frozen’ due to the weather.

The Council spokesperson further added: “The very cold weather today has resulted in some garden waste being frozen in bins so our crews have been unable to empty.

“Unfortunately, we are unable to return for these bins.”

But, residents are being asked to leave their garden waste bins out, as the crews will try their hand at collecting them once again tomorrow (30 November).

The Borough Council spokesperson has apologised for any inconvenience.
