POLICE OFFICERS in Nuneaton and Bedworth have urged motorists to ensure that their vehicle doors are locked at night – and that they remove any valuables inside.
The plea comes after the force have received an ‘increased’ number of calls about suspicious people trying car doors and looking into houses during the night.
They stated that phone calls like these are ‘always’ made around this time of year.
A statement was posted to their official Facebook page, yesterday (21 November), which reads: “As always at this time of the year, we have seen an increase in calls regarding suspicious people trying car doors and looking into houses during the night.
“Please remember to keep your cars and homes locked safely.”
Officers further recommend that valuables are removed from their vehicles.
