A NEW hair salon named Mane and Petal are opening their doors inside of a former beauty salon on Coventry Road in Hinckley, near Hinckley town centre.

It will be housed inside of 12 Coventry Road, in the space which used to be home to independent beauty salon, The Beauty Shoppe.
Former site occupant The Beauty Shoppe closed in June, five months’ ago, after owner, Faye Freeman, decided to permanently close to focus on her personal life.
A Mane and Petal spokesperson told the Free Press that they are hoping to open and welcome in Hinckley town-goers by the end of the month.
They explained: “We’re very excited to be opening a new business, [and] we’re hoping to be open by the end of November.”
The property has been managed and marketed by Station Road-based chartered surveyors, Wards, who have helped to move the new tenant in.
Harry Ward, of Wards Surveyors, said: “We have seen excellent levels of interest in retail accommodation in Hinckley town centre since COVID-19 restrictions were eased earlier this year.
“In particular, we have completed a number of lettings on Castle Street, Regent Street and Coventry Road in recent months, including Mane & Petals on Coventry Road.
“And, we have numerous other units in the town centre under offer to exciting new occupiers for the town. Watch this space!”
In a similar fashion, planning permission has been sought out to transform a former plumber merchants’ yard and showroom on Southfield Road into a hair salon.
