4TH AVENUE, a popular Hinckley band, will play their final ‘Music in the Mead’ show tomorrow (11 September).

The band, consisting of Dougie Hird, Danny Morrison, Tom Urch and Adam ‘Percy’ Percival, claimed to have previously had a ‘record-breaking’ outdoor live show inside of the Argents Mead-based Bandstand in the past.
They will start their performance tomorrow afternoon, at 1pm until 3pm, with local gin distillery Bond Street Distillery offering on-site refreshments to park visitors.
It is no secret that they are set to disband and go their separate ways soon, meaning that they only have a total of eleven shows to perform left together.
Back in July, they issued a statement announcing their eventual break-up, citing ‘commitments since the [Covid-19] pandemic’ as the reasoning, but further stating that it is more of a ‘see you later’ instead of a ‘goodbye’.
They have just eleven shows left in total, with the final taking place on 2 April 2022 at the Bedworth Civic Hall on High Street, in Bedworth.
In a statement posted today to social media sharing site, Facebook, a spokesperson for the group, said: “[It’s] our final show in the mead after a record breaking run, you don’t want to miss it!”
