TWO NEW CCTV cameras have been installed in Hinckley’s Green Flag award-winning Hollycroft Park yesterday (24 August).

The brand-new security cameras give coverage of the bandstand and the wider area – one is in a fixed position and the other is a 360-degree camera controlled by operators.
They are ‘high definition’ (HD) and provide an extensive zoom function, spotlighted with ‘infrared’ to see the vast majority of the local area.
Hinckley and Bosworth Borough Council (HBBC) worked alongside Hinckley Police in determining the best locations for where the cameras should be situated.
Preliminary works for the CCTV camera column at the park started just two weeks ago, back on Tuesday 10 August.
In a social media update shared on Facebook, a Borough Council spokesperson further revealed that cameras will soon be installed inside of Clarendon Park and Queens Park ‘in the coming months’.
