Supernews, who traded in Abbey Street in the town centre, have placed signs up on their windows which were spotted last week (25 July), telling customers that they have moved to the nearby Station News store on Harefield Road.

The sign signposted on the windows simply reads: “We have closed, please use Station News for everything we sold here – next to Sports Direct.”

Today (1 August), passers-by were able to see the dissembled shelves were left next to the door of the unit, showing that it is being emptied out, ready for when it next gets occupied in the future.

Supernews were located next to the independent supermarket, Causer Foods, and they sold sweets, newspapers, magazines and soft drinks, just to name a few.
