A HINCKLEY drag queen is set to take to the stage at the Revival bar on Regent Street in two weeks’ time, in her first performance as their resident drag act.

Harry Underwood, a local dance teacher and singer, who performs as Miss TuTu Ca-Choo, will make history as the first drag queen to perform at the Regent Street-based theatrical bar on Sunday August 15.
The 18+ ticket-only event is titled ‘Introducing Miss TuTu Ca-Choo’, and it will mark Underwood’s first performance back since the Covid-19 pandemic started.
Ca-Choo will host a ‘themed’ show for one Sunday of every month, from 7.30pm to 9.30pm – the themes differ, such as Disney, ‘Ladies Night’, and much more.
Harry spoke to the Free Press ahead of the upcoming show, giving us an insight as to what attendees can expect on the night.
He said: “Miss TuTu is a comedy queen who has the looks, and she tries to be ‘fishy’.
“Her shows use a lot of audience participation and sometimes when she sings, she sings parodies, but it all depends on the vibe.
“Attendees can expect the shows to feature adult games, lip syncing, live singing, dancing, banter, storytelling and a whole rollercoaster of emotions.
“These are tongue-in-cheek performances.
“I’m a trained dancer and singer and the aim is to turn the Sunday nights that I perform into a party.”
Meet and greets and selfie opportunities will take place at the end of the acts – and a giveaway will also be held on the night.
Underwood stated that he believes that the many different drag shows being hosted in Hinckley shows that the town has a ‘modern’ outlook on life.
He explained: “I think it’s good that drag is getting more exposure in the town of Hinckley, as it shows the town has a modern outlook of life, and that the LGBT+ community is here.”
“Drag really is something eye-opening, and every drag performer is unique and different, and I think bringing drag to the Revival bar springs life into it.”
Harry has confirmed that a ‘surprise’ is in the works ready for the night.
An early hint may have already been given out, as yesterday (29 July), Miss. Ca-Choo shared a photograph from Revival on Facebook of a rainbow cocktail.

The caption reads: “Ummmmm……. [sic] Super HYPED about this little secret!
“If you haven’t got your tickets for Sunday 15th August, what are you waiting for? They are going fast! [From] 7:30 – 9:30PM, [there’s an] early finish, so no excuse!
“Miss TuTu tastes so good!”
A Revival spokesperson commented on TuTu’s upcoming appearance. They said: “Revival is a place that offers something for everyone. We want everyone to feel welcome and included.
“We have introduced live music every weekend and now we’re looking to expand into drag shows and comedy shows and much more to come.
“Miss TuTu is the town’s best drag act and we’re so happy to have her on board. We will be doing monthly themed shows, so it never gets boring and keeps the night fun for all involved.
“Come down get involved and have a ton of fun at Revival Hinckley.”
