Police issue appeal for information over Fenny Drayton collision

POLICE OFFICERS are appealing for information after a collision between and a motorcycle which took place in Fenny Drayton, near Hinckley, last week.

The collision took place five days’ ago (22 July), when an orange Ford Ecosport collided with a black Ducati motorcycle at the junction of the A444 – Atherstone Road and Old Forge Road.

Sadly, the motorcyclist who was involved in the incident has sustained serious injuries and remains in hospital.

Now, Leicestershire Police officers want to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the incident, seen the vehicles in the area, or has any dashcam footage.

Sergeant Chris Coe said: “This was a serious incident that happened in the afternoon when many people are likely to have been out and about.

“We would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the incident or seen the vehicles in the area around that time.

“We would also like anyone who may have captured the vehicles on dash cam [sic] to please get in touch.”

Anyone who has any information about the incident is being asked to call the non-emergency Police number of 101, quoting incident 363 of 22 July.
