It has been arranged by Public Health England and will start operating in the town centre at 9am, where it will remain until 3pm.

Tests will be conducted from the vehicle, if town-goers and shoppers feel like they need to take one.

Town-goers will also be able to collect Covid-19 lateral flow test kits that they can take home with them.

It will be back on Hinckley’s high street this Monday (26 July), from 9.30am to 3pm.

Cllr. Michael Mullaney (LDEM), of the De Montfort Ward, took to his Twitter account to urge residents who need tests to take advantage of the service.

He said: “If you need a covid [sic] test or to collect home test kits please take advantage of this service.”

Earlier this week on Monday (19 July) a pop-up lateral flow testing unit was set up on the Hinckley Market.
