A COLLISION between a supermarket delivery van and car took place in Elmesthorpe today (19 July).

The incident took place in the village this afternoon on Station Road outside of the Badgers Mount Hotel and Restaurant.

Leicestershire Police were alerted of the collision at approximately 1.20pm and they arrived at the scene shortly after.

Once officers had arrived, they had learnt that no injuries had been sustained by either of the drivers involved in the incident.

Elmesthorpe resident Stewart Bint captured the photograph above when he was passing by.

It shows the damage of the Iceland delivery van, and an officer signalling to other drivers to go ‘straight ahead’ as the drivers exchange information with one another.
