The session, organised by Public Health England, will take place this Saturday (17 July) for an hour and a half, from 10am until 11.30am.

Doses of the Pfizer vaccine will be handed out.

No prior bookings need to be made in advance to showing up – anybody aged 18 and over is eligible to get vaccinated.

Currently unvaccinated people can grab their first jab inside of the Centre.

People who are after their second vaccine can receive it if they received their first Pfizer vaccine at least eight weeks ago.

As the Free Press mentioned last week, the walk-in vaccination sessions are being ‘scaled up’ ahead of the proposed ‘Freedom Day’ on July 19 when all Covid restrictions are meant to be dropped.

Three ‘drop-in’ sessions were previously held from last Saturday (10 July) through to this Monday (12 July).

A spokesperson for the Borough Council has encouraged residents to go and get vaccinated this Saturday.

They said: “With restrictions lifting we would urge anyone aged 18 and above who requires a first Covid-19 jab to come to a walk-in vaccination session.

“Anyone due their second Pfizer jab can receive it, with eight weeks in between.”

Further dates will be announced on the Leicester City CCG website, linked here.
