The mod, pop, and ska band from Nuneaton wowed socially-distanced crowds in the Argents Mead park.

Covid-19 marshals were in attendance to ensure that social distancing and the current Covid guidelines in place were being adhered to at the event.

To the relief of those in attendance, it did not rain, despite sporadic showers over the weekend.

As a part of the event, a new act will perform every Saturday throughout the summer, up until 18 September, which marks the final performance.

Music in the Mead events are free, do not require any prior booking, and are held from 1pm until 3pm.

The list of upcoming performers has been confirmed below:

  • Sam Southall (24 July)
  • Dean Thomas (31 July)
  • Steven Faulkner (14 August)
  • Out of Gas (21 August)
  • Supersonic 90’s (28 August)
  • 4th Avenue (11 September)
  • To Be Determined  (18 September)

Cllr. Keith Nichols, Executive Member for Town Centres for Hinckley and Bosworth Borough Council, said: “My thanks to the events team for all of their work in re-starting these very popular events and special thanks to everyone who came along and supported the event.

“It’s been a difficult year for everyone, and we hope these live music events over the coming months will bring back a little much-needed normality.”
