A BUILDING SOCIETY are in the process of re-locating in Nuneaton town centre.
Coventry Building Society, who already have a branch in Abbey Street, are set to move to a brand new branch in Queens Road – one of the most popular streets in Nuneaton town centre amongst town-goers.
They have taken on the former GAME video game store which has sat empty since February last year (2020), next door to the independently-owned Sovrano Caffe.
During the time of re-location, the Abbey Street branch remains open to members of the public.
But, the Abbey Street space won’t be open much longer, as according to the Coventry Telegraph, the new branch will open its doors next Friday on 25 June.
It will be more spacious and it will boast meeting rooms, service hubs and a community area.
As pictured, one main cash point has been placed outside for town visitors to make ATM cash withdrawals.
The re-location is rather reminiscent of Hinckley’s Coventry Building Society branch – as they closed their Regent Street location in late 2019, to open up inside of a newer, bigger and better branch in The Crescent complex later on that year.
It is not the first bank to move in recent months – Barclays moved from their former Grade II* listed branch on Market Place to the ex-Specsavers store on Queens Road adjacent to the Ropewalk Shopping Centre.
