NUNEATON’S Town Talk pub, located in Abbey Green, has been sold to new owners.

The sale was completed by Hereford-based property specialists, Sidney Phillips, on their official website, where they announced that it had been sold it on a freehold basis for the asking price of £360,000.
Sidney Phillips specialise in selling pubs, hotels and restaurants.
On a Twitter post regarding the acquisition, the property specialists tagged the Tweet with two main hashtags showing that it will re-open once again. These were: ‘Back in the Local’ and ‘New owner’.
At the time of publication (15 June), it is currently unknown which publican and brewery have taken on the property.
A spokesperson for Nuneaton’s CAMRA group commented on the successful purchase.
They said: “Great news for Nuneaton”, followed by an emoji of two beer glasses clinking together.
The two-storey brick building dates all the way back to the Edwardian period.
It sports a main bar and games room, a lounge, five bedrooms, owners’ accommodation, a terraced beer patio, and on-site car parking.
Many Nuneaton residents remember the boozer fondly as being the starting point for the much-loved ‘Abbey run’, where revellers would drink in all of the pubs in Abbey Street in one night.
