Five people arrested on Friday in Nuneaton for drugs offences

FIVE PEOPLE were arrested in Nuneaton on Friday (28 May) for being in possession of drugs.

The first of the five arrests were made at around 5.30pm on Friday evening when a 26-year-old Nuneaton man was arrested.

He was arrested on suspicion of possession of controlled drugs, as he was found to be in possession of a quantity of suspected cocaine.

Following his arrest, a 58-year-old man was subsequently arrested on Abbey Street.

The 58-year-old was found to be in possession of further quantities of suspected cocaine which were found on his arrested.

Officers had arrested him on suspicion of possession with intent to supply.

Just a short while later, on School Walk near Attleborough, a 25-year-old man was arrested after a ‘significant’ amount of cash and cocaine were seized from a vehicle.

He was also arrested on the suspicion of possession with intent to supply.

Later on in the evening, a 54-year-old woman and another 25-year-old man were arrested on the suspicion of intent to supply.

They were arrested following a ‘substantial’ seizure of drugs from a property.

All of these arrests are currently being linked.

Following police interviews, all five people were released under investigation whilst the enquiries remain ongoing.
