Stu and David were chosen to lead the local rail group following former group leader Mark Whitelegg’s decision to step down from the role.

The new leaders thanked Mark for his years of dedication, campaigning, and hard work, and have stressed that he will be ‘sorely missed’, wishing him success, happiness, and prosperity in his future endeavours.

Now under their leadership, Stu and David, who have ‘railway in their blood’, pledge to fight on for better rail services for the areas of Nuneaton, Bedworth and Hinckley, regardless of any hurdles or challenges that they may face.

The commuters will meet with their stakeholders and local community members in a bid to build ‘better and brighter’ railway services to the three aforementioned towns.

Messrs Anderson and Kane understand the importance of the railway for local people in day-to-day life and want to see the services go from strength-to-strength.

They explained: “We know how important the railway is for work, education and leisure for our communities.

“We are also cognisant of the positive financial impact on our local economy of a well-run rail service, and it is our aim to see our rail service go from strength to strength.”

Group updates are regularly posted on their official Twitter account, which can be found here.
