The virtual event is set to take place in two days’ time (13 May) from 1.30pm to 2.30pm.

Nationwide have decided to partner up with Leicestershire Police as they have spotted that more shoppers have been spending online over the past year.

Leicestershire Police will be helping in the virtual session by providing hints, tips, and the best practices to safely shop online, in a bid to try and get more people shopping online and boost their confidence with e-shopping.

They have stressed that non-members will be able to take part as well members, as they are committed to looking after members and ‘investing in communities’.

Device safety and protection, online shopping, online banking safety, password guidance, and account security, are a few of the topics which will be discussed.

Attendees will further be taught how to protect personal information to stay safe online, how to use social media safely, and the risks of free Wi-Fi and VPNs.

A full list can be found on the official Eventbrite page listing, where you can sign up to virtually attend here.
