HINCKLEY’S HOLYWELL pub and restaurant, based on London Road, are offering residents a taste of America with their brand new drive-in collection experience which will start next weekend.

The new American-style drive-in diner experience was announced today (21 March) on social media site Facebook and is also being advertised as an ideal ‘date night drive-in’.

The new service will start from next weekend from Friday (26 March) to Saturday (27 March), from 6pm until 10pm.

Burgers, tacos, burritos, sweet treats, and milkshakes will all be on offer.

Hungry residents have to check the menu on Facebook beforehand, park their car in a parking space and flash their lights to let the restaurant know that they are ready to order.

From then on, their order will be taken where they will wait until they can drive off with their food.

The Holywell had previously traded as a traditional British pub in the past, but was taken on by Paul King and Kate Grewcock in late 2020, who want to operate it as a family-friendly restaurant and bar.

Paul and Kate have been offering a collection and delivery service all throughout the Covid pandemic, as they have not been able to open their doors as a restaurant since acquiring the site.

The Hinckley Free Press approached The Holywell for comment regarding the new service, but they were unable to respond at the time of publication (5.15pm).
