The event is set to return this year on Sunday, September 19, from 10am until 4.30pm with free admission.

It will feature all types of classic and vintage vehicles, as well as ‘modern marques of special interest, and potentially some entertainment, including live bands, if these are permitted by the time of event.

The event did not go ahead last year (2020), as it was cancelled by Bid bosses as a safety precaution to adhere to the safety guidelines surrounding the coronavirus pandemic.

Entry will only be permitted to vehicles who have signed up by filling out the pre-registration forms. If they have, vehicles will display special ‘window hangers’ to gain entry.

Those who have not filled out any pre-registration paperwork will not be able to enter their vehicles on the day.

Steve Wegerif, Director for Hinckley BID, spoke to The Hinckley Free Press about the event.

He said: “We’re planning for it to be bigger and better than ever. At our ninth Classic Vehicle Motorshow in 2019 we had 917 vehicles which drew huge crowds throughout the day.

“Many shops, cafes, pubs, and restaurants were open and very busy. We want to organise entertainment and a live band if available. As with most BID Events, it is free to enter and free to attend.”

A host of awards will be made across a wide array of different categories.
