The Eggfree Cake Box are set to open in mid-March in the former Muffin Break space, with a ‘soft opening’ taking place before their public launch.

Despite taking on the Muffin Break cafe unit, customers will not be able to dine-in, as the company are a takeaway service who also offer ‘click and collect’ and delivery.

The bakery chain, who own over 150 shops to date, already have a presence in two cities nearby to Nuneaton in Coventry and Leicester – with four Leicester locations and two in Coventry.

The Eggfree Cakebox’s cakes have been approved by the Vegetarian Society as they do not use eggs or meat products.

Their quiet plans to join the Ropewalk were made public after being listed as a business on the Ropewalk’s official store directory late last year.

Chris Suddaby, The UK Franchise Manager for The Eggfree Cakebox, said: “The Ropewalk is another high street location in our expansion forward.

“It’s no different really from a lot of our shops in shopping malls, but hopefully we get a good level of footfall.”

A job listing for the new Nuneaton location was put up on the Indeed job website 25 days ago looking for a for a full-time, temporary, or permanent Kitchen Assistant and Cake Decorator – those interested still have time to apply.
