COACHING sessions for junior members at a Hinckley tennis club are set to resume in just two days’ time (4 January).

Hinckley Town Tennis Club have confirmed on their official social media platforms that their junior coaching sessions will resume on 4 January, as the sessions are in line with the official Government guidelines for tier four.
Group coaching can take place for those who are under the age of 18, as well as those with disabilities, in a maximum group size of 15.
Whilst group coaching sessions may still be held, travel restrictions are still in place for travelling in and out of the area and no socialising between group members may take place before or after sessions.
The upcoming sessions at the Leicester Road-based ground will help the club’s juniors catch up with the sessions that would have taken place at the end of the last term.
The sessions were unable to go ahead last term due to the wet and cold weather, and lockdown restrictions which Hinckley faced back in November as a part of the national English lockdown.
A new programme for the junior players will take place at the start of next month in February.
Speaking to The Hinckley Free Press, a spokesperson for Hinckley Town Tennis Club, said: “It’s good that the kids can still play. They need an outlet as lockdowns are so tough on them.”
Inclusive sessions
The club further aim to run their inclusive sessions which resumed after the last lockdown in November was over.
The team’s inclusive sessions take place on Mondays from 10am to 11am and Thursdays and Saturdays from 10am to 12pm, although timing may change.
