PLAY WORKERS from Hinckley and Bosworth Borough Council will be handing out 50 free Christmas takeaway dinners and craft activities for children tomorrow (30 December) at Barwell Methodist Church on Chapel Street in Barwell.

A total of 50 free Christmas takeaway dinners and craft activities will be handed out by the play workers to children on a ‘first come, first served’ basis for an hour, from 12pm until 1pm.

The event, named the Children’s Fun Takeaway, has been organised by bosses at Hinckley and Bosworth Borough Council in conjunction with Barwell Methodist Church.

Stewards will be on-site preparing and serving the takeaway packs in a COVID-safe environment, as well as ensuring that social distancing is being adhered to at the site by attendees who are picking up their meals and crafts.
