AN OPPORTUNITY to bring new life into a former Italian restaurant space in Hinckley’s Crescent shopping and leisure complex has became available.

The former home of Rossini’s in Hinckley’s Crescent complex has been listed as ‘to let’ by Station Road-based chartered surveyors, Wards.
Past occupants Rossini’s first opened their doors in the now-vacant space back in March 2016 after leaving their previous premises in town on Coventry Road.
Whilst they occupied their then-new location in the complex, they were sadly hit with two arson attacks – their doors remained closed for good following the second blaze.
Back in 2019, a potential new occupant named Santhi Restaurant was looking to take the space on, and transform the unit from its past life as an Italian restaurant into an Indian restaurant, however these plans never went ahead.
Wards are now hoping that a new occupant will take on this new prime property in the town’s ever-busy mixed-use leisure and retail complex.
‘Landmark’ location
The ‘landmark’ location comes pre-equipped with planning permission use for a restaurant to take on where Rossini left off, however alternative uses can be considered.
The space sports a double height restaurant area with a mezzanine and full height glazing.
The space has ‘excellent’ specifications, including ground and first floor bar areas, as well as a showpiece open kitchen with feature glazing onto Lancaster Road.
Wards comment
The lettings for the space are being arranged by chartered property surveyor Harry Ward.
Chartered Surveyor and RICS Registered Valuer, Harry Ward, said: “Wards are delighted to be marketing units at the flagship ‘The Crescent’ shopping centre in the heart of Hinckley town centre.
“Despite the ongoing effects of the coronavirus pandemic, the commercial property market remains resilient and we are confident that we will be able to secure exciting new occupiers for the vacant units. Watch this space!”
