HINCKLEY BID, the town’s Business Improvement District, have revealed the winners of this year’s ‘Best Christmas window’ competition.
Whilst many fantastic entries were received from businesses and retailers all across the town who had entered into the competition, the ‘mystery judge’ had ruled that independent Castle Street-based sweet shop, aptly-named Castle Treats, had managed to secure the award from fierce competition from others with their fantastic festive windows.
The ‘mystery judge’ decided that the following retailers deserved to be awarded with ‘Highly Commended’ certificates for their fantastic Christmas displays which were entered into the competition:
- Beautiful Brides
- Brambles Vintage Interiors
- Curiosity Boutique
- The Railway pub
- The Sewing Café
- Wright & Wright
We have attached photographs in our image gallery below of the winning seasonal shopfronts, which were kindly supplied by bosses at the BID.

Back in October, a similar competition was held by the BID for the Halloween holiday, which seen Brambles Vintage Interiors take home the trophy for the ‘best-dressed Halloween window’.
In a statement posted to social media sharing site, Facebook, a spokesperson for Hinckley BID, said: “Well done to each of you, and thank you to all who entered this year, everyone has done such a fantastic job in very trying circumstances!”
