UPPER CASTLE STREET will be opened to those in cars this Wednesday (December 16) for a ‘Christmas light car trail’, so that attendees, particularly those who are elderly or disabled, can drive through the town centre and admire the festive Christmas lights.

Event stewards will be on hand at the event to help direct the traffic. The trail will start at the top of town in Upper Castle Street and will be opened to traffic for two hours, from 6pm until 8pm.

Once attendees have finished the Christmas light car trail, they will exit the town centre on Regent Street.

Those heading out in their cars to attend this Wednesday must stay in their car at all times whilst travelling through town on the route – they are being advised to only travel in the car with those in the same support bubble and household as them.
