BUSINESSES in Hinckley and Bosworth who have seen their trade severely hit by the national limits in place to help tackle the spread of COVID-19 are being urged by the Borough Council to apply for the latest round of coronavirus grants.

The grant, known as the ‘Additional Restrictions Grant’ (“ARG”), aims to help businesses who have been severely impacted by the restrictions or those who have been forced to close their doors until the town’s coronavirus tier drops down from Tier 3.
Businesses without a rateable value are unable to apply for this discretionary scheme, as the scheme aims to help affected businesses which do not meet the criteria for other Council grants.
Hinckley and Bosworth Borough Council are distributing the grant accordingly to an eligibility criteria – businesses in the greatest need of the funds will be prioritised.
A page regarding further details on how to apply for the grant has been added to the Council’s official website, which can be accessed by clicking here.
Stuart Bray, Council Leader for Hinckley and Bosworth Borough Council, said: “We fully appreciate how tough it is out there for local businesses and we will help as much as we can.
“I urge eligible local businesses to apply as soon as possible.”
