Hinckley and Bosworth Borough Council and park volunteers were handed a People’s Choice Award by Green Flag Award bosses for the achievement.

The Hinckley-based park impressively made its way back on to the list as for the second year in a row. They made their first appearance on the list late last year in November 2019.

As we reported a month ago in November, Hinckley and Bosworth Borough Council encouraged residents to nominate Hollycroft Park and Argents Mead as their favourite parks, as both parks were handed Green Flag Award which meant that they were eligible to be nominated.

Over 59,000 votes were cast by members of the public in a bid to determine which would be recognised as ‘the best in the UK’.

The Green Flag Award Scheme recognise and reward well-managed parks and green spaces.
