Owners of The Elbow Room announced in an update to patrons on Facebook that the doors to the award-winning ale house will be closed all day for two days next week on Monday 19 October and Tuesday 20 October as new flooring will be being installed inside of the micropub.

The reason for the temporary closure is because the main bar area will be having new flooring fitted and installed.

In the statement they further explained that this is “the first of a few improvement projects we will be doing over the next few weeks and months.”

The Elbow Room will then be open again from the following day of Wednesday 21 October.

Face coverings are required to be worn inside, unless patrons have a medical condition, or are exempt.

Social distancing is being adhered to and plastic dividers are keeping customers separated and safe in their own separate ‘booths’ where they will be approached by a member of staff who will let them order from their table with their newly-introduced ‘table service’ system.
