Bosses at the Concordia Theatre made the announcement today on Thursday 24 September on the venue’s official social media outlets.

Red lights will light up the Theatre once again to support live entertainment sectors, venues, and the arts, during the coronavirus pandemic.

Concordia will be shining the lights in support of fellow venues and individuals who have been affected by the coronavirus crisis in the live entertainment and venues sector.

This will raise awareness of the dire situation that the arts sector are currently facing during these challenging times as they continue to cope with the coronavirus pandemic crisis.

The bright lights which will shine on the Theatre next Wednesday evening will acknowledge and endorse the importance of the art industry in the United Kingdom, and how the arts contribute ‘billions’ of pounds every year to the economy.

“The arts create millions of memories for so many people throughout the world and offers so much to both employees and the many volunteers involved in the sector”, said a representative for The Concordia Theatre on social media.
