Today, on Thursday 17 September, eagle-eyed town-goers had spotted that the former Chef’s Takeaway eatery have temporarily closed their doors whilst renovation and refurbishment works are taking place on the unit.

Signage appeared in the windows of the temporarily closed takeaway which explains that the unit is being refurbished with a brand new identity set to be taken on, named TJ’s.

TJ’s are well-known in Leicester where they have four existing locations located throughout the city, on Narborough Road, Fullhurst Avenue, Hinckley Road, and London Road.

The eatery will serve up pizzas, kebabs and burgers to hungry residents.

The signage simply reads: “TJ’s coming soon.”

Vaughan Moore, Nuneaton Reporter at The Hinckley Free Press, snapped the photo when he was passing by the new venture.

At the time of publication, the newly-announced eatery have not launched a social media presence for the Hinckley branch, however the company website can be found at

It is unknown whether TJ’s will be a dine-in location for residents, or if it will serve a hot food takeaway like the past occupant Chef’s Takeaway.

The Hinckley Free Press will keep you updated with this story once more details become available.
