HINCKLEY Town Tennis Club are asking residents and members to cast their vote for them in the annual ‘Building Futures’ competition, which is being held by Persimmons Homes.

The Town Tennis Club are an amateur community sports club. They were the only tennis club to reach the finals of the competition and are in there alongside 32 other sporting organisations.

Whoever receives the most votes in total will win the competition.

On social media, the Tennis Club revealed that if they won the £100,000 prize for the ‘Sports’ category they would build a summerhouse with a disabled toilet, to help improve their club grounds for disabled tennis players and children.

This would allow wheelchair users and those with limited mobility access into the Club grounds.

The Town Tennis Club usually provide seven hours a week of free sessions to inclusive groups.

A spokesperson for Hinckley Town Tennis Club said: “We would love for Hinckley and the area to get behind us and vote every day!

“It’s rare we have the opportunity to access this level of funding, which would help us provide accessible facilities for children and young people of all abilities.”

The competition ends at 12am on Friday 18 September, so all votes should be cast before then. Those wanting to vote can do so by voting every day until the last day before the competition ends.

If you’d like to cast your vote to help them win the competition, you can do so at www.persimmonhomes.com/building-futures/finalists.
