The new venture will open tomorrow morning in the space which used to be home to independent French-inspired café, Petite Chouette.

Town-goers can ‘Eat Out to Help Out’ as the eatery are taking part in the initiative, which sees a 50 per cent discount applied on food and non-alcoholic drinks to customers who dine-in from Monday to Wednesday throughout the month.

A new management team are behind the café and have been hard at work getting ready for its opening since 5 July last month when ‘Opening soon under new management’ signs appeared, just 29 days after Petite Chouette closed down.

Yesterday on Saturday 15 August, the finishing touches inside of the space were being finalised ready for the opening tomorrow. A board was installed inside of the unit which simply reads: “Opening Monday 17 August”.

Outdoor signage to reflect the name for the café and bar has not been installed above the unit during the time of publication (16 August), but this change shall hopefully be changed in the coming weeks.

During the time of refurbishment and redecorating inside, passers-by have been able to have a ‘sneak peek’ through the windows into the new lease of life at how the café now looks.

A spokesperson for the eatery was approached for comment but was unavailable to talk to the Hinckley Free Press at the time of publication.

Prezzo reopening

Hinckley’s Prezzo branch located over in The Crescent complex will reopen their doors tomorrow for the first time since temporarily closing back in mid-March when Hinckley residents went into lockdown with the rest of the United Kingdom.
