ELMESTHORPE BREWERY’s Stoney Stanton-based pub, The Bulls Head Freehouse, on Long Street, was targeted by two vandals who were caught on CCTV surveillance cameras last week on Saturday 8 August.

The vandals were spotted on the pub surveillance cameras

In the surveillance camera footage which was shared by the Brewery to Facebook, one vandal was seen causing havoc by wrecking a flowerpot inside of a flower bed hanging outside of the pub.

After attacking the flowerpot, the duo then ran further down the street in unison, where the same vandal proceeded to smash an entire flower planter into the middle of the road, as his accomplice watches on.

From the time stamps on the surveillance camera footage, it shows that the first attack took place at 1.55am, with the second taking place just two seconds before turning 1.56am.

According to Brewery bosses, this wasn’t all the damage that had been done. The two vandals had also allegedly kicked a car in the area.

Elmesthorpe Brewery respond

A spokesperson for Elmesthorpe Brewery spoke to the Hinckley Free Press regarding the vandalism.

They said: “We are extremely saddened and disgusted with such behaviour especially when all businesses right now including ourselves are trying so hard to keep things going in the right direction.

“The pub trade has been hit hard and whether the damage be £1 or £1 million, it’s the principle – being this young man’s behaviour.

“Moments prior to causing criminal damage to one of our buildings we have footage of vandalising a car on the same road and it’s terribly disgusting behaviour.”
