Safety measures in place

Social distancing will be implemented across the venue.

Hand sanitiser stations will be provided in cinema venues for both customers and employees to use.

For all employees, strict hand washing guidelines will be in place to go alongside Cineworld’s current personal hygiene policy.

Cineworld are recommending that customers either pay with contactless physical cards, or digital payment services such as Google Pay or Apple Pay.

Their tills are protected by plastic screens, and payments for Apple and Google Pay are accepted for up to £45 digitally.

The concessions stands have been fitted with plastic screens, where safe distancing measures cannot be maintained.

Cineworld employees will receive necessary COVID-19 training and will be provided with personal protective equipment (PPE).

The seating maps will allow viewers to sit closer to their group of family or friends that they are visiting with, which will help ensure a safe distance between other customers in separate groups.

Films will start and end at staggered times, so that customers don’t cross paths heading in and out of different screens and to prevent a build-up of customers spending time in the foyer.

Tickets can be booked online in advance with digital e-ticketing on the Cineworld website, and their official mobile phone application.

Confirmation e-mails can be used as tickets and e-tickets can be found inside of the Cineworld app if customers book on there.

A cleaning programme will help Cineworld enhance their cleaning, as they clean and sanitise the high touch points of the cinema.

The cinema chain encourage their visitors to wear face masks when visiting their venues.
