LAST week, yellow hearts were placed inside of Hinckley’s Argents Mead bandstand, to remember those who have unfortunately lost their lives due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The hearts were placed in the bandstand last week on Sunday 26 July, by members of the self-formed community group of families bereaved by the pandemic, the Yellow Heart Remember Covid-19 Support Group.
The yellow hearts inside of the bandstand are annotated with the messages ‘COVID-19’ and ‘#loveforthelost’, raising awareness for the cause and for those who sadly passed.
Hinckley and Bosworth Borough Council took to their official Facebook page to praise and thank the support group for their work on the display.
A spokesperson for Hinckley and Bosworth Borough Council said: “Once again the bandstand at Argents Mead becomes a focal point for those to remember.
“To accompany the flower yellow hearts planted earlier this week our thanks to the Yellow Heart Remember Covid-19 Support Group for their decorations and time.”
On the same week last Thursday on 23 July, the Yellow Heart Remember Covid-19 Support Group planted a bunch of yellow flowers in the Mead in the shape of a large heart.
Over in The Crescent, just outside of the Loungers-owned restaurant, Tarro Lounge, a yellow heart poster has also been placed outside of their establishment to remember those who have lost their lives to COVID-19.
